ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਖਰੀਫ਼ ਤੇ ਰਬੀ ਮੌਸਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਪੀ. (Di-Ammonium Phosphate) ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਧ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਘੱਟ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਲ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਡੀ.ਏ.ਪੀ. ਵਿੱਚ 18% ਨਾਈਟ੍ਰੋਜਨ ਅਤੇ 46% ਫਾਸਫੋਰਸ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਫਸਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਧੱਤ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।
